Graceful and historic Hoi An is Vietnam’s most atmospheric and delightful town. Once a major port, it boasts the grand architecture and beguiling riverside setting that befits its heritage, but the 21st-century curses of traffic and pollution are almost entirely absent. Whether you’ve as little as a day or as long as a month in the town, it’ll be time well spent. This morning will be spent with a morning fish and vegetable market tour where you will interact with local buyers and sellers. We buy all the ingredients for our class and design our menu based on the best and freshest produce available that day. We then return for an interesting and informative tour of the restaurants many street food kitchens, watching live cooking demonstrations with hands on involvement and many food tastings. 2.5 hour hands on in-depth cooking class, lunch, recipes and a Vietnamese cooking utensil to take home.

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walking tour to visit the ancient Hoi An town and its incredible legacy of tottering Japanese merchant houses, Chinese temples and ancient tea warehouses – though, of course, residents and rice fields have been gradually replaced by tourist businesses. Touring the town and you will be free at leisure to make your own exploration to the town or free shopping.
