  • Kong: Skull Island Tour (10D)

Like a behind-the-scene tour of King Kong 2017, this great expedition takes you to picked attractions in Ninh Binh, Quang Binh and Quang Ninh provinces where the film crew spent months doing their work. There will be very few chances we catch some pieces of work left on the ground, but be sure to enjoy the nature at its best, taste the amazing Vietnamese cuisine, and smile back at ones you meet on the way.

If you want to extend the trip by joining the expedition into the world’s largest cave Son Doong, be well aware that the tickets are usually sold out a year before the date of departure. So please contact us as soon as possible to see if we can help you with this.

    Day 3

    Hanoi - Halong Bay

After breakfast, you'll be driven to Ha Long Bay (one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas, and the world's largest marine 'karst' landscape), possibly visiting Bach Dang (a famous 13th century battle site set in attractive north Viet Nam rural scenery) en route. On arrival, you'll board a traditional-style wooden junk to travel beyond the busy tourist area to some of its less visited grottoes and caves. There will be opportunities for you to swim, fish, climb one of the hills (not a mountain!) for a spectacular overview of the Bay, or venture into some of the sea level caves in a small sampan, all weather permitting, of course. All your meals will be provided on board, usually based on fresh seafood, and you'll sleep in a twin cabin with an en suite toilet and shower.

Ninh Binh - Trang An - Return to Hanoi

Visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel once covered an area of three square kilometers.

After visiting Hoa Lu if time and energy levels permit, you may choose to take a half-hour walk up one of the surrounding limestone karst hills, the climb is rewarding with spectacular views. In the late morning depart for Tam Coc Town for a Vietnamese lunch, along the way stop where you wish to take pictures of local villages and the stunning landscape.

After lunch, you will visit Trang An Landscape Complex which was listed on UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014. Take a relaxing boat ride on a peaceful river passing through a series of caves (one which takes 15-minutes to pass through in darkness). Trang An is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, some of which are submerged, and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to other name, ‘Halong on Land’. An ‘eco tourism’ area, the only interruptions here are the sound of birds and the gentle paddle of the oar upon the crystal clear river. Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
