We stayed here for two nights with our grown up children in one of the 7 suites. In the end this was three double bedrooms, two shower rooms and a lounge.
They try very hard here. The service was very very good . The snacks / mini bar with a good selection. Daily fruit. Helpful front desk. The breakfast is enormous.
Two restaurants - we preferred the more authentic shabby-ish one in the ground floor , good food, good price.
The location is right by the point for picking up flower market boats and the tourist market that comes alive at night.
The front desk booked us a small private boat for the floating market which was all of £12 for a 4 hour round trip from a very competent skipper who with his limited English worked really hard to keep us amused. He hand made us crowns, bracelets etc out of banana leaves - very nice chap.
Don't be put off by the slightly scruffy appearance on arrival.
– “A gem - super helpful staff, great location”
Beautiful hotel. Lovely junior suite #4 overlooks river. Has dinner upstart at l'escale-very good service and excellent good. They have a Vietnamese and western menu-we opted for all Vietnamese and weren't disappointed at all. Starters of green mango salad with prawns and crab with pork pancake. Mains of marinated pork and tofu curry (a little bland but aided by chilli on the side). Rice and local spinach. Delicious and reasonably priced when compared to similar restaurant in Saigon. House wine ok.
Attentive staff all around.
Great location and would stay there again.
– “Lovely hotel by the river”
This hotel is great. The spacious suites are well furnished and have a great river view. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, speak good English and France. Laundry is clean and in time. But the best is the food, Western on the top floor and very good Vietnam in the other restaurant. This was the best we had in whole trip in Vietnam! Enjoy also the great view from the terrace at the top floor with one of the ver good cocktails.
We went to Can Tho to visit the water market on one of the Mekong tributaries. The water market is a must see if you are in the Mekong delta. We were booked for one night at the Nam Bo. The hotel is located in a building of French inspired architecture on the waterfront. I believe there were only 7 suites in the hotel. Our suite had a sitting room, a bedroom and a lovely bathroom. There is a popular restaurant on the ground floor but we had drinks and dinner at the French restaurant on the rooftop. We stuck with the Vietnamese menu. The food was very good and the service excellent. Before we left the restaurant, the waiter told us to come up at 6 am for breakfast so we can see the sun rise across the river. The breakfast, which was included, was worth the stay. Croissants and chocolate ala France and excellent coffee and a view of life on the river you won't forget. If you have Can Tho on your itinerary, I recommend the Nam Bo.
– “Lovely small hotel with a wonderful rooftop restuarant”
The Nam Bo Boutique Hotel was a great place to stay on our overnight visit to the Mekong Delta. Very clean and lovely facilities, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. We had a great meal at the restaurant on the top floor overlooking the river and main street including breakfast the next morning, before we left on our visit to the floating markets etc. The air conditioned room was a very welcome reprieve from the outside heat and humidity, and only a short walk to the local market and riverside. Despite being close to all the action the rooms were not noisy.
