    Some Key Facts:

    • Tucked away on a quiet street, yet slap bang in the centre of Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter, the hotel provides a welcome oasis of peace and calm.
    • A vast array of local eateries to choose from on the doorstep.
    • The rooms feel instantly homely and cosy: wooden floors and neutral coloured walls are balanced with rich coloured cushions and tasteful floral art.

Staying here was a great start to our south east asia trip. We were picked up from the airport. On arrival We were greeted by awesome jenny with refreshing passion fruit juice. Check in was straight forward. We had a quiet room (highly recommend it) hanoi is busy till about midnight. The hotel is a short walk to the night market and the lakes. I recommend scooter if you want to get around, feel the breeze in your face and see more.
Room size is new york style small but its ok for 2. Bathroom is adequately sized for 1 person at a time. There is a good selection at breakfast a mix between Vietnamese and western I enjoyed both tastes. They also let us take some bread rolls for later in the day. Jenny organised a 2d 1 night cruise for us last minute . We went with viola cruise. It was a lovely cruise and a great experience. A bit pricey if you on a low budget but worth it.

We spent our first 2 nights of our holiday here and the staff were exceptional and offered suggestions of where to go. The hotel is located in the old quarter so ideal for exploring. We booked a tour to Halong Bay from the hotel, checked out and left our luggage but unfortunately the second night was cancelled because of bad weather. Even though we'd already checked out the hotel welcomed us back on our return, provided us with cold drinks. let us use showers and wait for our onward travel to Sapa.

The staff in the hotel could not have been more charming and helpful with great levels of customer care. We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived for the first stay of one night at the hotel before we went to Halong Bay for a cruise and then returned for a further 3 night stay - this upgrade was very much appreciated. The rooms are of a good size and are well appointed and spotlessly clean - with free wifi, tea and coffee making, a fridge and good reading lights above the bed (all plus points in our book). The breakfast was very good and the staff very engaging and attentive.

Sadly all the good work in terms of customer service by the staff was totally undone when on settling our bill we were asked to pay US dollars 2 for a cracked glass in our room (I thought the check out clerk was making a joke at first but he wasn't and this was a real black mark against this hotel) - never in any of the many hotels I have stayed in around the globe have I been asked to pay for a broken glass. I refused to pay this USD2 charge and after discussion with the duty manager it was removed from our final bill. Unfortunately though this is now how we will remember our stay at this hotel. The hotel management need to rethink their policies.

It would not have been possible for the staff to have been more friendly or hospitable during our stay. From our welcome drinks to our drop off at the train station they were absolutely magnificent. Hanh and her team were on hand to answer all our questions - and point us in the right direction with the use of their super easy to navigate map!
The rooms are impeccably clean. We stayed twice with visits to Mai Chau and Halong in between. Our first room was pretty cosy but super comfortable and the junior suite was huge and with a balcony and very very comfortable. But a fair bit more expensive and a bit of a treat for us so depends your budget. Breakfast was delicious and I think most importantly the hotel is so well located. Delicious Phó and Buncha to be had just next to and across from the hotel! We would recommend this hotel to everyone if you are after well placed spot,
My comfortable immaculate rooms, a buzzy street and fantastic staff!
